Jersey Mike’s Subs is a nation-wide restaurant chain with over 2,000 locations open or under development offering scrumptious subs on Udi’s brand bread rolls and their meats, except for meatballs, are gluten-free. The behind-the-counter staff preparing the subs are trained to be alert when a gluten-free order is placed and part of that protocol involves changing gloves, washing hands, wiping the slicers with unused towels and using dedicated knives and cutting boards.
You can order any one of 3 size subs: 5 inch Mini, 7 inch Regular, or 14-15 inch Giant layered stacked with top quality meats, cheeses, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and topped with oil and vinegar. You might want to have the server hold any condiments to add those yourself which you know are gluten-free.
Chipotle Mexican Grill has a world-wide presence with over 2,700 restaurants in the U.S. and offers a near gluten-free menu of Mexican-type food items to choose from. Their flour tortillas are the only food item that contains gluten so you will want to be sure to order corn tortillas when your choice of servings is being prepared. Among their gluten-free menu items are Soft or crispy Corn Tortillas, Cilantro-Lime Rice either White or Brown, Black or Pinto Beans, Fajita Vegetables, all Meats, Sofritas, Salsas, Chips and Vinaigrette.
Chick-fil-A operates over 2,600 locations in the U.S. and now offers a gluten-free bun which goes great with their grilled chicken. Among their other gf items are chicken nuggets, Honest Kids Apply Ever Organic Juice Drink, Cinnamon Apple Sauce (Buddy Fruit) and Simply Orange Juice.
Panera Bread has over 2,000 locations in the U.S. and despite their namesake, ie Bread, they offer a number of gluten-free choices in a casual sit-down or take-out choice. Among those gf items are their Greek Salad, Fuiji Apple Salad, Modern Greek Salad with Quinoa, Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken, Baked Potato Soup, Steelcut Oatmeal, Greek Yogurt mixed with Berrie and for desserts, Triple Chocolate Cookie with Walnuts and Coconut Macaroons.
