Gluten-Free Homemade Applesauce

Comment: Apple sauce is a staple for us as a side with our roast meals and you can make it with/without Cinnamon although we prefer it with.

Yield:
8 ounces

Ingredients:
4 medium sized Mackintosh apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin
2 tsp ground Cinnamon
1 tsp sugar
1 tbl water

Preparation:

  1. In a small pan with lid, add all ingredients and cook over low, stirring frequently.
  2. Add a little water to achieve the degree of constancy that you prefer but not much.
  3. When the apples begin to soften, ‘mash’ while still in the pan and complete the mashing process when thoroughly softened and cooked.
  4. Serve hot.
